Ascending Weddings & Events by YJean formally Amazingly Creative Events is the embodiment of YJean Ligon’s heart and passion. So, who is she? YJean is a wife and mother. She is fun-loving and all about having a good time. When she’s not designing and planning events, you can catch her out and about with her hubby and co-owner of AWE. She’s adventurous and always up for a challenge that allows her to put on her strategic thinking cap. She enjoys learning and meeting new people. Pizza and ice cream are her favorite foods.
As the founder, lead planner, and designer, YJean blends her love for all things pretty, strong corporate background, and outside-the-box solutions combined with personalized customer service and attentiveness to curate memorable events, all while having fun. She has a keen eye for detail and a passion for elegance. While she loves the pretty, organization is at the top of her priorities. She takes a vested interest in every event as if it were her own. She’s delightful to work with.
Her backstory includes many years of event planning before ever launching AWE formally known as Amazingly Creative Events . She has an extensive background in Human Resources. She was often the lead on various projects, all while planning and executing events for family and friends to include an out-of-state wedding. In 2011 she decided to pursue her passion, event planning, and décor. The rest is history. Today she still invests herself in the events of her clients to ensure they receive the best possible service. Personalized service is at her most important value.
