You are planning your wedding, you have picked the dress and found your perfect shoes. You are working out the tiny details. As you go over your checklist you stop at the one item you are not sure of, The First Look. Now you’re sitting with the thought, do I do a first look or don’t I do a first look, this is the question. My question to you is do you know the pros of having a first look?
Why Do I Need A First Look
Let’s talk about the pros and the cons that come up when thinking about the first look. What is the first look, this is the first time you see your partner before the wedding. This is a time for you two to come together and share a moment before you see family and friends. You are going to share this special day with your family, take some time for each other and let your photographer capture your memories.
Some of the cons I have heard are it won’t be as special when I walk down the aisle, it won’t be a surprise and I won’t have the special photo of my partner seeing me for the first time. To all these cons I say I understand but you will have all those special moment photos and more. You will never forget the first time your partner looks up at you and your eyes connect and the love is inevitable. Now imagine having that connection in private with only you, your love, and your photographer. It is a magical experience.
When you are planning your wedding day and working with your planner remember not to forget your special moments. The first look is one of the moments and the next moment will be after the ceremony after you and your partner have said your I do’s take a moment maybe 5-10 minutes to take it all in.
Remember yes you are hosting this wedding for your friends and family to witness and celebrate your love. This is amazing to have them all there but you also need to take a moment to celebrate the moments. Your wedding will be full of moments, take a minute to celebrate them and each other, the day will go by so fast and all you will be left with is the memories. Cherish each and every moment as these will be your memories.
